The Real Estate Contact form takes the standard Outlook 2000/2002 contact form and adds the ability to save extended real estate specific data and functionality. The real estate contact can be used in any Outlook contact folder, including Exchange based public folders.
Folders When Active Agent for Outlook is installed there is a new contact folder that is created, Real Estate Contacts. As mentioned above the real estate contact can be stored in any contact folder, so why are there two additional folders installed with Active Agent? The reason and purpose of the new contact folders are as follows:
In Outlook 2003 you can remove any folder that you do not use from the "My Contacts" list by right clicking on the folder and selecting "Remove from My Contacts"
If you are going to use a folder other then the real estate contact folder to store your contact you should also set the "default real estate contacts folder" to the that folder. To set the default real estate contacts folder select the "Admin Functions" function on the toolbar and then select Options. On the Options page select the Defaults Tab and from the Default Real Estate Contact folder drop down list select the folder you intend to store your real estate contacts.
To create a new Real Estate Contact, from the Active Agent Toolbar click on Create and then Create Real Estate Contact.
This will create and open a blank real estate contact. If you are in a contact folder when you create a contact folder the contact will be created in that folder, otherwise it will be created in your "Default Real Estate Contacts Folder".
